Set the purchase boundary
An emulsion purchase should be compared at a common treatment result, not simply by drum price. Define the required outlet quality and throughput first, then include the cost of getting usable polymer from the delivered package to that operating endpoint.
Identify the proposed commercial grade and the operating condition that must be demonstrated before an order is released.
Build the chemical-cost line
Convert the delivered offer to the agreed active basis, then multiply by the active dose needed at the accepted performance point. Use measured dose inputs, not a controller percentage. Keep freight, currency, taxes where applicable and quotation validity explicit.
Separate fixed delivery charges from consumption-dependent cost so different order sizes are not compared as though they have identical logistics.
Account for the liquid path
Include package heel, transfer loss, preparation water, utilities and maintenance of the inversion system. Distinguish a recurring expense from one-time installation or changeover work. Check whether the offered package can actually be emptied through the existing pickup arrangement.
Use measured losses where possible; label estimated values as assumptions and test their effect on the buying decision before treating them as savings.
Include the separator consequence
For sludge duty, compare cake handling, capture and throughput at the required output. For clarification, include return-water quality and withdrawal constraints. A small chemical saving can be outweighed by a poorer accepted endpoint, but do not assign a monetary benefit without a supported plant measurement.
Keep the incumbent baseline and candidate result within a comparable feed window. Different sludge blends or process loading can make a precise-looking cost comparison misleading.
Check the difficult case
A bulk offer may have cheaper freight per tonne yet create excessive inventory exposure or leave more residual liquid at changeover. Compare the achievable operating cost at realistic turnover, not a hypothetical full-package recovery the site has never demonstrated.
Keep unresolved limitations in the qualification record instead of presenting a proposed benefit as an established operating result.
Record the acceptance evidence
| Check | Evidence | Decision |
|---|---|---|
| Chemical | Delivered active cost and useful dose | Same treatment endpoint |
| Handling | Heel, utilities and maintenance | Assumptions visible |
| Process | Capture, clarity or cake | Benefits measured at plant |
Retain the sample code, lot, preparation method and measured feed with the purchasing decision. Compare subsequent deliveries with that record, using the same test conditions wherever practicable.
Request a scoped offer
Send quotation quantity, trade term, destination, current usage, actual package losses and process acceptance data. Identify whether the requested comparison is chemical-only or an approved whole-process economic evaluation.
Send the evidence through the sample and quotation form. Review packaging and lot controls with Gongyi Xinqi Polymer Co., Ltd., and confirm grade availability and order terms before committing.
